How much does a new Mini battery cost?

I’ve noticed the dashboard lights and headlights in my 2018 Mini Cooper have dimmed and flickered. I’ve had this car for about five years. Do I need a new battery, and how much does it cost?

If you need to replace your
Mini
’s battery, you can expect to pay around $150 for the battery itself and $95 to $100 for labor. The overall cost to replace the battery is about $250 total—but if you’re confident in your skill level, you may be able to change the battery and avoid an extra labor charge.
Usually, dimming lights are a surefire indicator that your battery’s life is coming to an end—and the lifespan of the average Mini Cooper battery is between 3 and 5 years. Luckily, it’s not a common expense, and there are steps you can take (like keeping the battery clean and checking the voltage regularly) to help extend a car battery’s life.
