How much does a Ford Fusion Hybrid battery cost?

I’ve had a Fusion Hybrid for several years and it’s been super reliable, not to mention fuel-efficient. But during a routine maintenance checkup, my mechanic told me that the hybrid battery is about to stop working. How much should I expect to pay for a Ford Fusion Hybrid battery?

Sorry to hear your
Ford Fusion Hybrid
is about to give out!
If you need to replace the battery, a Ford Fusion Hybrid battery typically costs between $2,000 and $7,000.
However, the cost of the battery depends on a few factors:
  • Where you go to get the replacement done (dealership vs. private repair shop)
  • The model year of your car
  • Whether you can replace a few cells in the battery or you need a total replacement
  • Whether you buy a new battery or opt for a used or refurbished battery
Keep in mind: Getting a new battery and installation from the dealer may cost more, but you get the added advantage of knowing it gets done right.
Only buy a used or refurbished battery as a stop-gap measure if you can’t afford a new one.
