How much does a custom exhaust cost?

I want my Roadrunner to have that cool growling sound. I am thinking of changing my exhaust over, but how much does a custom exhaust cost?

The price of a custom exhaust will depend on the cost of labor where you live, the material you would like to use, and how much of your exhaust you are looking to replace. The cost can range from $500-$2,000 or be much more if you go with high-end materials.
You can replace just the exhaust pipe for around $200. This would be using stainless steel, which will eventually rust and it will not change the sound of your

much.
To really kick up that engine, you will want to replace the full exhaust system, which includes:
  • Exhaust manifold
  • Flange gasket
  • Catalytic converter
  • Cross piping
  • Resonator
  • Muffler
If you customize your entire exhaust system with aluminum or titanium, it will run you around $8,000.
Anytime you make modifications to your vehicle, check in with your insurance provider to ensure you have the proper coverage. Some companies require receipts to confirm the cost of the upgrades and you will need to have
comprehsive and collision coverage
on your policy in case of a covered claim.
