How much does a Chevrolet extended warranty cost?

I’m in the process of buying a new car and I’m always nervous about being able to pay for expensive repairs down the road. I might buy an extended warranty if it's cost feasible. How much is it?

In general, a Chevrolet extended warranty costs about $1,000 per extra year that you add. That said, it varies depending on several factors:
  • The model of the car
  • How many miles your car has it—you can buy an extended warranty at any time before the lapse of the initial 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty
  • The length you choose
  • The deductible
Every extended warranty has the option of extending in 1-year/12,000-mile increments, as well as either a $0 or $100 deductible. A general budgeting rule is to plan for about $1,000 for every year of the extended warranty you add. If you buy a 2-year/24,000-mile plan, for example, you can expect to pay around $2,000.
If you decide that a Chevrolet extended warranty costs a bit too much, you can always start a repair savings fund to handle repair costs in the future. Fund the account by lowering your
