On average, you can expect a car control arm replacement to cost between $500 and $750. Depending on your vehicle make and model—prices may also vary slightly depending on whether it is a front or rear control arm that needs replacing.
As an integral part of your vehicle’s suspension, the control arms are what connect the steering knuckle to the car frame, allowing your wheels to move up and down when traveling over bumps in the road. A new car control arm usually costs between $400 and $550.
Labor costs—if you take your vehicle to the mechanic to have the control arm replaced—will add on another $150 to $200.
It isn’t imperative to have a faulty control arm replaced immediately, but it is recommended, as a damaged control arm can lead to more costly suspension issues down the line.
A properly functioning suspension is key to keeping you and other drivers safe on the road—but so is having the right insurance. Licensed
