How much do you save on gas with a Tesla?
Will I save a lot of money on gas if I buy a Tesla? They’re so expensive so I know it would take a long time for the savings to be worth it, but I’m hoping that I can put some of the money I’ll save towards my car payments.

Your savings will depend on a few factors of your current vehicle, such as:
- The size of your vehicle
- Your car’sgas mileage
If you have a larger vehicle or poor gas mileage, you’re likely paying more to fill up your car. By switching to a Tesla, you might save a significant amount of money on fuel costs.
To get a more exact number of potential savings:
- Step 1: Look up the average annual cost of gas for your current vehicle.
- Step 2: Subtract $2,310, the average fuel cost for driving 15,000 miles in a Tesla.
Keep in mind: You’ll still have to pay for electricity to power your vehicle, and energy costs can range from three cents to 18 cents per mile depending on the model and where you charge your Tesla.
