How much do you get from a car accident?

One of my friends got into an accident, and they’ve been complaining about bills. I thought they had excellent insurance, but it seems like they didn’t. How much do people generally get for an accident from their insurance?

I’m sorry to hear your friend was in an accident and they didn’t get the support they expected from their insurance. Most people get, on average, $21,000, from their insurance, but that depends on the type of insurance and the details of the accident.
There are 13 different types of car insurance, and each one has a different job.
The most common types of insurance (and often required by a state or lender) are:
