How much do Uber drivers make in Northern Virginia?
I’m a former Justice Department prosecutor who was encouraged to retire early for reasons I just can’t get into right now (my apologies), so I’ve got time on my hands. I’ve built myself quite the nest egg, but I’d love to find a way to fund my day-to-day activities. How much do Uber drivers make in Northern Virginia?

On average, you can earn anywhere between $31,000 to $45,000 driving an Uber in Northern Virginia according to Salary.com. But this depends on when and where you drive, and—most importantly—how often you drive.
The Northern Virginia area is a good spot for Uber, as you’ll have access to Washington D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, and the surrounding areas to pick up passengers. You’ll likely make more money sticking close to those cities’ downtowns, but there are some other factors that will determine how much money you can make.
The times you drive will also determine how much you make as an Uber driver. Driving between 5 pm and 5 am will give you the best opportunity to maximize your earnings. Rush hour during the evening can be particularly profitable, as well.
That said, if you don’t have time during the late afternoon and early evening, the early morning rush can be profitable, too. Ultimately, the more you drive, the more money you’ll be able to squirrel away. Do know, however, that Uber will take a cut of every fare you get.
