you’ll want to buy depends on several factors, but you can never have too much protection.Almost every state, including Colorado, has a
minimum amount of car insurance required
. If you purchase this, your premium would be less, but typically you’d only be covered for damages or injuries you cause to other vehicles. For additional protection, you might instead want full coverage insurance. Full coverage insurance includes comprehensive and collision coverage. With these, your vehicle has protection against mother nature and accidents or collisions.
To determine how much insurance you should buy, you’ll want to consider whether an accident would cause financial hardship. If you couldn’t afford to pay out of pocket for damages or replace your car, it’s worth carrying a higher amount of liability insurance along with full coverage.
