How much car insurance coverage do you need for a 2010 Honda Fit if you live in New York City?

I live in New York City and I have a 2010 Honda Fit. I currently have a 100/300/25 liability insurance policy, $25,000 in MedPay, and 25/50 uninsured motorist. Is this enough coverage?

“Although these limits may seem high, you’re actually on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of coverage.
Most drivers in New York City go with a 250/500/250 liability policy, as the cost of expenses (including medical bills) are often higher than in other parts of the country. You may also want to increase your
uninsured motorist coverage
to 250/500.
The addition of
medical payments coverage
is probably another smart move. However, you may want to increase your MedPay limit to accommodate your financial situation and your current health insurance coverage.”
