Your salary will be based on trip fares, which will vary depending on the time and distance of the requested trip, as well as tips. While Uber takes a cut from every trip fare, you get to keep 100% of your own tips. Ways to increase your tips include:
- Keep your car as clean as possible
- Be friendly and make good conversation (if the passenger seems up for it)
- Be ready to offer recommendations for places around the city
- Offer amenities like gum, mints, and even an aux cord for passengers to play their own music
