According to Indeed.com, the average Lyft driver salary in Cincinnati is closer to $23 per hour, so you may benefit from getting a job with Uber!
Drivers may make more or less than the average depending on how often they drive and how long they work for Uber. Both companies also offer incentives, like a bonus for completing a certain number of trips within a weekend or at certain hours of the day.
Another way to increase the amount of money you make is with customer tips. Consider carrying amenities like water bottles, gum, and mints in your car to increase customer satisfaction—or at least try to keep your car sparkling clean!
Don’t forget to factor in the costs of being a rideshare driver, like gas and wear and tear on your vehicle. You might also have to pay self-employment taxes on your earnings since Uber and Lyft drivers are independent contractors of the company.
