How much can I expect to pay for car insurance?

What is the average amount someone pays for car insurance? I'm interested in purchasing my auto insurance with Allstate. But I don’t know if this is the right insurance provider for me.

“According to NerdWallet’s 2020 rate analysis, the national average for full coverage auto insurance was $1,427 per year.
Rates vary across insurance providers and are based on a number of factors, such as the type of car someone buys, their age, their driving record, and so on. At
Allstate
, you can expect to pay somewhere around $1,180 per year, or $170 per month.
One of the biggest differentiators in the cost of car insurance is the level of
coverage
an individual wants. For example, a six-month policy for
comprehensive coverage
is typically around $1,070, while more affordable six-month options start as low as $378.
Finding the right car insurance can be confusing. If you’re looking for a new provider or policy and someone to help assess your needs, try the
