How much are Tesla batteries to replace?

I was running errands today and I suddenly got an alert on my dash saying my 12V battery was dying. I didn’t realize that Teslas had batteries that needed to be replaced. How much is a new Tesla battery?

Although
Teslas
are electric vehicles, they still need their 12V batteries replaced from time to time. Typically, this is after several years of use, but it could happen sooner. If you need to replace your Tesla battery, you can expect to spend between $0 and $300 on a new one.
Your actual cost will vary depending on whether your Tesla is under warranty, where you purchase the battery, and which battery you choose. If your Tesla is still under warranty, a replacement battery should be covered.
If you aren’t under warranty, the replacement will cost between $100 and $300 with Tesla’s service center or mobile service. Since the battery is an integral part of your Tesla, it’s recommended that you have certified Tesla technicians replace it.
That said, if you feel comfortable doing so, you can replace your own battery for less. However, if anything goes wrong, you may end up paying much more.
