How much are car headlights?

How much do car headlights cost? One of mine is broken, and I need to replace it ASAP.

Answer
Yes, you should definitely get that replaced sooner rather than later—or you could be pulled over and ticketed!
The cost of replacing your car’s headlights varies greatly depending on your car’s make and model, as well as whether you replace the headlight yourself or pay a professional to do it.
If your headlight is intact but the bulb has gone out, a typical replacement bulb will cost between $15 to $20. But the cost for high-intensity discharge bulbs (the more energy-efficient variety) is $100 per bulb. The labor would cost an additional $50, on average, if you opt for professional installation.
If your entire headlight assembly needs to be replaced, the parts will usually cost between $75 to $200. So if you take your car to an auto body shop to have the work done, you’ll likely pay between $250 to $700 total.
While your car insurance isn’t likely to pay for regular maintenance on your headlights, make sure you’re sufficiently covered in the event something more serious happens to your vehicle. It’s always a good idea to review your policy every six months to ensure you’re getting the best price on the coverage you want.
