How many teens die daily from texting and driving?
I’ve caught my daughter texting and driving several times. No matter what I say, she keeps doing it and I’m starting to get concerned. To strike some fear into her, I want to have a frank conversation about the consequences of texting and driving. How many teens are killed every day by texting and driving?

Texting and driving is never a good idea, especially when you consider you can be ticketed or get in an accident. According to statistics, 11 teens die daily from texting and driving, underscoring the seriousness of a seemingly innocent action.
Moreover, teens are far more likely to text and drive than any other group. If your teen continuously ignores your pleas to stop texting and driving, apply some of these tips:
- Use an app to prevent texting above a certain speed such as AT&T DriveMode or LifeSaver.
- Lead by example.
- Set consequences and punishments and follow through with them.
- In extreme cases, buy them a stick shift vehicle and teach them how to drive it.
