How many Ram Built to Serve Editions were made?
I was recently made aware of Ram’s “Built to Serve Edition” trucks and would like to purchase one, but I am unsure how hard it will be to get one—how many Ram Built to Serve Editions were made?

This is a bit tricky to answer, as the Ram Built to Serve Edition is currently in the second phase, which means the vehicles are still being produced—we’ll try to break the numbers down as best we can, starting with the first phase.
When it was announced in 2019, the Ram Built to Serve Edition was dedicated to the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Ten colors (two for each branch) were made available, and their production numbers are outlined in the table below:
Branch | Color | Units Built |
---|---|---|
Army | Gator | 1,000 |
Army | Diamond Black Crystal | 1,000 |
Navy | Ceramic Gray | 1,000 |
Navy | Patriot Blue | 1,000 |
Marines | Tank | 1,000 |
Marines | Flame Red | 1,000 |
Air Force | Anvil | 1,000 - 1,250 |
Air Force | Bilet Silver Metallic | 1,000 - 1,500 |
Coast Guard | Spitfire | 500 |
Coast Guard | Bright White | 500 - 750 |
In 2022, Ram launched the second phase of the Built to Serve Edition, which is still in production—this phase seeks to honor the three core first-responder units: firefighters, EMS providers, and police officers. For the 2022 model year, 9,000 Built to Serve Rams were made available for firefighters.
Seeing as the other two first-responder units’ vehicles haven’t come out yet, we can’t give a definitive total as of yet. Of the six groups that have dedicated Built to Serve Edition vehicles, the total is between 18,000 and 19,000.
