How many points is a moving violation in Florida?

I got pulled over for speeding the other day. Luckily, I didn’t get a ticket—they let me off with a warning. Not that I’m planning on doing a bunch of speeding, but how many points would go on my Florida license if I did get a ticket?

Speeding is a moving violation, and moving violations in Florida carry penalties of 3 to 6 points depending on the severity of the offense and if (or how often) you repeat it.
As you’ve obviously discovered, the best way to avoid points for moving violations is to ensure you’re obeying all traffic laws—including posted speed limits. But we’re not here to judge, so if you do find yourself with a ticket or two, rest assured you can still save money on
