How many points before your license is suspended in Oklahoma?

Will I get my license taken away if I don’t have a clean driving record in Oklahoma? I get nervous about my record whenever I get a new ticket, and I want to make sure I’m not in danger of losing my license or anything.

You won’t lose your license for having a point or two on record, but it’s definitely best to avoid getting too many tickets! If you get 10 points or more within a five-year period, your
license can be suspended in Oklahoma
. Your first suspension period will be one month long, but subsequent suspensions will be upped to three, six, or 12 months.
However, points can be removed from your record if you exhibit good driving behavior. If you go 12 months without a violation, your point level will be reduced by two. If you’re able to go three years without a violation, your total point level will return to zero.
Remember, to keep yourself and others safe, always obey posted speed limits and other driving laws, and avoid distractions like
texting and driving
that could lead to an accident.
