How many points before your license is suspended in Idaho?

How many points can I get in Idaho before my license gets suspended? I’ve gotten a couple of speeding tickets in the last year and it’s made me really paranoid that I’m going to lose my license or something like that.

While there’s no hard limit on the number of points you can accumulate, the DMV may suspend your
driver's license
for 30 days if you get 12 to 17 points within 12 months on your record in
Idaho
. You can also have your
license suspended
for a longer period of time if you receive 18 to 23 points within 24 months, or if you surpass 24 points within a 36-month period.
Points stay on your record for three years in Idaho, after which point they will expire and be removed from your record. If you’re worried about the number of points that you have in the meantime, however, you can take an approved defensive driving course to remove three points from your record.
Driving points can also increase your car insurance rates. Check out the
Jerry
app, where you can see a list of policy quotes in under a minute, to make sure you’re still getting the best rate available. The average user saves $887 per year.
