I recently moved to Miami, Florida, and haven’t had the opportunity to familiarize myself with the roads yet. Cops must have an eye for new residents because I’ve already been hit with two speeding tickets. How many points can I get before my license is suspended in Florida?

.More severe punishments will be dished out to habitual offenders, including a three-month suspension for 18 points within 18 months and a one-year suspension for 24 points within 36 months.
Lucky for you, minor speeding tickets only result in three points—you still have some room to work with before a suspension.
You can check the current status of your Florida driver's license online for free by using the Online Driver License Check on the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles site.
You can also buy your own 3-year, 7-year, or full driver record from a driver's license service center, a court clerk who offers this service, or a private vendor. This record will show the number of points you have and provide information about when and where tickets were given.
