How many oxygen sensors does a car have?

Last night my friends and I were talking about oxygen sensors. I’ve never been much of a car person and I have to ask, how many does a car usually have?

As with many car-related topics, the answer depends on variables such as make, model, age, and more. Most cars on the road today, though, will have two oxygen sensors.
Some newer models have four so there isn’t one specific answer. The only constant is that modern cars are required to have them.
