How many Nissan 300Zx models were made?

My older brother loved his Nissan 300Zx in the 90s, and I want to help him find one to fix up as a family project. I know they’re becoming harder to find, but how many 300Zx models were produced?

That’s the perfect vehicle for a taste of nostalgia! Between 1990 and 1996, Nissan manufactured 18,274 “Z32”-chassis 300Zx Twin Turbos. Designed for the American market, the
Nissan 300Zx
was a two-seat coupe that peaked in popularity between 1990 and 1991. Unfortunately, it’s tough to get behind the wheel of one today.
With a style that withstands the test of time and a 3.0L V6 engine with 300 horsepower, the 300Zx can fit in with modern models of a similar breed. That is, as long as you can find one. The beloved, muscular ride depreciated quickly, making for a vast aftermarket selection for existing owners and a dicey one for aspiring owners.
Many 300Zx models were modified by owners who could access a plethora of parts—but didn’t quite know how to use them. The result? A crop of 300Zx models with more work needed than they’re worth and a group of high-value ones that are a dime a dozen.
Your best bet is to network with fellow
classic car lovers
to find a 300Zx model that’s not damaged by low-end modifications. Good luck!
