How many MPH over the speed limit is considered reckless driving in TN?

How many MPH over the speed limit do I have to be driving for it to be reckless driving in Tennessee? A friend told me to slow down the other day because I was going 10 over and she was worried that I would get a reckless driving ticket.

In
Tennessee
, you can be charged with
reckless driving
if you're caught going 30 MPH over the speed limit. You’ll be charged with a class B misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to six months in jail and a $500 fine.
That isn’t to say that driving 10 MPH over the speed limit won’t affect you, though! If you’re pulled over for going 10 to 19 MPH over the speed limit, you’ll be hit with anything from a $55 to $110 speeding ticket fine, depending on where you are.
Fines aren't the only thing you'll need to worry about. Tennessee drivers with
speeding tickets
typically see an average increase of 30% in their
car insurance
premiums. To find lower rates after a ticket, download the
