How many miles to change oil for a BMW?

I just bought my first BMW. I want to take good care of it and follow the right maintenance schedule. How many miles do I have before I need to change the oil?

In most cases, you’ll want to change the oil once or twice per year or every 10,000 miles. That said, several factors can influence how often you need to change the oil, including:
  • If you use synthetic or conventional oil
  • How often you drive
  • How far you drive
  • Weather and road conditions
