How many miles can a BMW last?

One of my good friends just **raves** about her BMW’s longevity, claiming to have driven it regularly for nearly 15 years! Personally, I think she’s talking smack (as per usual). But it does get me wondering, how many miles can a BMW last?

As long as they are properly maintained, a
BMW
can last between 150,000 to 200,000 miles or roughly 10 to 15 years of regular driving.
It’s entirely conceivable that your smack-talking friend has driven her BMW for a decade-and-a-half with nary a problem.
So, how did she keep her Bimmer on the Autobahn for so long? Most likely, your friend followed BMW’s maintenance guidance to a T, and was militant in doing the following:
  • Getting her BMW regular oil changes
  • Taking her Bimmer in for regularly scheduled maintenance calls
  • Remembering to rotate the car’s tires
  • Using only quality parts for any repairs
  • Being careful to drive smoothly
Looks like we can all learn a thing or two about keeping our BMW on the road for the long haul, as your friend clearly knows how to keep her car running smoothly.
