How many Infiniti FX50s were made?
I used to have an Infiniti FX35 when I was younger, as it was a gift from my uncle. However, I’m a bit older now and I wanted to learn more about the FX line of vehicles—specifically the FX50. How many of the FX50 did Infiniti make?

While the Infiniti FX35 was the more popular of the two, the FX50 holds a lofty place in Infiniti folklore. The Japanese automaker never released figures on just how many of these SUVs were sold, but estimates are that Infiniti made somewhere around 3,000 FX50s between 2009 and 2013.
What makes the FX50 a collector’s item is its interesting specs and feature that were unique to the car and haven’t been replicated since, such as:
- 390-hp, 5.0-liter V8 engine
- 0-60 mph in just 4.8 seconds
- 0-100 mph in 12.6 seconds
- Rear-based all-wheel-drive system
- 21-inch Enkei wheels
- Adaptive suspension
- Downshift rev-matching
- Paddle shifters
- Bluetooth compatibility
- Advanced safety features for its time, including adaptive cruise control, surround-view monitor, and lane-departure alert
With only 3,000 made, the FX50 is one of the rarest Infiniti vehicles ever produced. Despite an original price of around $55,000, you can now find one for about $15,000 albeit with high mileage.
