How many hours is it driving from Chicago to New York?

I live in Chicago, and I was just offered a job interview next week in New York. I’m not really comfortable on planes, though, so I want to drive. How long will that take?

Congratulations, and best of luck at your job interview!
The drive from
Chicago
to
New York
takes about 12 hours and 20 minutes. It might sound manageable, but we wouldn’t recommend trying to do it in one day—especially when you consider the importance of what’s waiting for you at the other end.
Split the drive into two days, so you don’t feel rushed, and so you don’t find yourself getting
drowsy behind the wheel
