How many GMC Sierra C3s were made?

I have always loved the GMC Sierra C3, but I couldn’t get one when they were released. How many are out there?

There is no concrete number for how many
GMC Sierra C3
pickup trucks were made, but the manufacturer planned to produce between 10,000 and 15,000 C3 extended-cab short-bed pickups for 2001.
The Sierra C3 extended-cab is an entirely new truck based on the
Sierra 1500
half-ton full-size pickup. It featured a 6.0-liter V8, making it the only GM half-ton truck with this engine. It came loaded with features, including:
  • Aluminum cylinder heads
  • New cam profiles
  • New exhaust system
  • Three-piece noise-suppressing engine cover
In simple terms, it’s expensive, luxurious, and powerful, and you won’t find a pickup anywhere like it. It also happened to be the most expensive light-duty truck in GMC’s lineup with a base price of $38,995.
