How many Ford GT Carbon Series were made?

I’ve heard tales about how rare the various Ford GT models are, but I’m wondering how much more limited the production of the Carbon Series was. How many Ford GT Carbon Series were made?

The tales are true! The Ford GT is one of the rarest Ford models out there, with the Carbon Series having an even smaller production pool. Out of the 250 GT models produced in 2019, only 50 Ford GT Carbon Series were made.
Like most GT models, interested buyers had to apply to purchase this rare supercar in advance, with ownership rights typically going to high-profile individuals and influencers. It’s rumored that approximately one Carbon Series GT was produced each week, with each one built to the special specifications of its lucky (and wealthy) recipient.
Here’s some more background on the Ford GT Carbon Series in case you’re interested:
  • As the name suggests, carbon fiber decorates almost every surface of this spacecraft of a vehicle—this actually makes it 40 lbs lighter than the standard GT
  • Carbon Series GTs could be outfitted in four different accent colors—blue, orange, red, or silver
  • Its 660-horsepower engine jets you from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds
Given the average price tag for a Ford GT Carbon Series can soar well into the millions, it’s highly unlikely that any one of us will find ourselves in one under any normal circumstances. But it never hurts to dream—and in the meantime, there’s always the good old standard Ford Mustang GT.
