The state of Oregon—with 37,680 electric vehicles registered in May of 2021—has a growing population of EVs.
Despite this, EVs only make up 1% of the state’s total car fleet. The state government is trying to encourage more people to switch to electric vehicles. Oregon has a number of EV incentives for drivers including a Clean Vehicle Tax Rebate Program and other rebates for owners of new and used electric vehicles.
The state is also in the process of developing its charging infrastructure to support the future of EVs.
