On April 1, 2022, New York had about 98,090 electric cars registered; however, the number may have increased since then.
In a 2020 study by the Minnesota Reformer the state of New York ranked 23rd, just below Minnesota.
While the state of NY is not at the top of the list, it is certainly not at the bottom. Currently, the state of NY has a majority of Teslas and Toyotas and of those, the cars are mainly fully-electric vehicles.
