Hopefully, your uncle still has the truck! Dodge offered a limited production run of the Warlock starting in 1976. It went on to manufacture the trucks from 1977 to 1979 although the brand didn’t keep official production records.
Here’s where things get complicated. Warlocks were produced alongside the iconic Li’l Red Express as part of their “adult toys” line, but Dodge couldn’t sell the Li’l Red Express in several states because of noise standards. To get around this, dealers often tricked out and modified Warlocks, selling them as Midnite Express trucks.
As you can probably guess, this complicates the issue of how many Warlocks were made. To give you some idea of how rare these trucks are, a classic car auction site suggests that only 500 1977 Warlocks were produced.
If your uncle still has his Warlock, ask him if he’s got classic car insurance
. This type of insurance is perfect for vintage and antique cars that are driven occasionally. Insurance providers will also typically cap mileage to keep these classic cars in the best condition. The good news, though, is that insurance rates will be much lower than standard car insurance
