How Many Cylinders Does the Toyota Sienna Have?

My family is growing, and it feels like the right time to invest in a minivan. I’ve been looking at the Toyota Sienna, but I’d like to invest in a minivan with solid power and acceleration. Do you know how many cylinders the Toyota Sienna has?

Balancing cargo space and functionality with engine power can be tough sometimes, especially when it comes to minivans. The most recent Toyota Sienna is the 2023 model and is only available as a hybrid. The 2023 Sienna has four cylinders and two electric motors which amount to 245 horsepower, which is lacking compared to its competitors. This is similar to the 2022, 2021, and 2020 models, which all have four-cylinder engines with two electric motors.
If you want to opt for a more powerful engine, you’ll have to invest in a 2017-2019 Sienna, which is outfitted with a more peppy V6 engine instead. These models offer up to 296 horsepower, but they don’t come with the bonus of an EV option, and their fuel economy is less than great at a combined 22 MPG, compared to the 2023 Sienna’s EPA rating of a combined 36 MPG.
If you’re interested in a more powerful minivan, try out the Chrysler Pacifica instead, which comes equipped with a V6, 287 horsepower engine.
