I know that the Ford Raptors are super high performing, and I’m wondering what makes them so good. How many cylinders does a Ford Raptor engine have?

How many cylinders a Ford Raptor has depends on the model. “Raptor” is just a designation that
Ford
gives some of its vehicles to indicate that they’re specifically designed for off-road driving. Of all the vehicles in Ford’s lineup, only the
F-150
,
Bronco
, and
Ranger
are available with the Raptor nameplate.
The 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor, Bronco Raptor, and Raptor Ranger all have six cylinders in their engines. The Bronco Raptor and the Ranger Raptor are both equipped with a 3.0-liter Twin Turbo EcoBoost®V6 engine, while the F-150 has a slightly larger 3.5-liter Twin Turbo EcoBoost® V6 engine.
For 2023, Ford decided to really crank things up to the next level with the F-150 Raptor R. Under this massive truck’s hood, you’ll find a 5.2-liter supercharged eight-cylinder engine capable of 700-hp and 640 lb-ft of torque. If you really want this big of an engine powering your truck, you’ll need to wait until the 2023 models hit the market.
