How many cylinders does a Fiat 500 have?
I keep hearing about the Fiat 500 and how it has fewer cylinders than most vehicles. I don’t know what this means or why this matters, but I love the look of the car and I’m interested in learning more. How many cylinders does the Fiat 500 have?

That’s right! The Fiat 500 only has two cylinders, making it the only two-cylinder car in Europe.
With only two cylinders, rather than the standard four, six, or eight like other vehicles, the Fiat holds the title of the cleanest and most efficient car on the market.
In the United States, however, the only engine available is a 1.4-litre 4 cylinder 135 horsepower turbocharged version of the same engine. While the US version has two more cylinders, the vehicle’s small size and sufficient power make it the perfect vehicle for darting around in city traffic or sliding into small parking spaces.
While you will save money on gas, Fiats are slightly more expensive to maintain than other vehicles. Just something to keep in mind while looking at your monthly budget.
