How many cars are registered in Connecticut?
Does Connecticut have a lot of cars? I’m really nervous about driving through the state on a road trip this summer because one of my friends told me that the traffic there is really bad.

. However, the concentration of cars will be different depending on which road you’re on and your proximity to the nearest city.There are a few things you can do to make driving through Connecticut a little easier and to avoid the worst traffic:
- Don’t drive during rush hour. You’ll see a lot more traffic when driving from 6:00–9:00 AM and 4:00–7:00 PM due to people commuting to and from work.
- Stick to smaller roads. Big highways and interstates will typically see a lot more traffic than smaller roads, so avoiding large highways is a good way to steer clear of traffic jams.
- Watch out for construction. Research the area you’ll be driving in before you leave so you can avoid big construction zones, where traffic may bottleneck.
