How many cars are in Alabama?
I just moved to Birmingham and I noticed that traffic is a bit rough compared to other areas of the state. Out of curiosity, I want to know how many registered vehicles there are. How many cars are there in Alabama?

has 5.3 million registered cars on its roads, which is the 29th-most in the nation.The good news is Alabama doesn’t have a single city that ranks in the top 50 for the worst traffic in the country. However, Alabama has experienced a sizable increase in the amount of traffic since 2000. Over the past 20 years, traffic on Alabama roads is up 33%, which is probably why you’ve noticed a bit of congestion since moving to Birmingham.
