How many 2009 Dodge Challengers were made?

I’m a huge fan of the Dodge Challenger, even though I’ve never owned one before. Now that I’m in the market for a new car, I’m thinking about buying one. However, I want to make sure that I can find one that’s a bit rarer to maximize its value. How many Challengers did Dodge make in 2009?

Dodge produced right around 31,500 Challengers for the 2009 model year—the first year that the Detroit automaker rolled out full-scale production of this vehicle. While 2008 was technically the first year the Challenger was made, Dodge only produced around 7,000 models—all of which were souped-up SRT8 models.
If you want to purchase the 2009 Challenger, you have three
trim levels
: the R/T, SE, and SRT8. These models also came with engines synonymous with the muscle car name, including: 425-hp, 6.1-liter V8 375-hp, 5.7-liter HEMI V8 250-hp, 3.5-liter V6
