How many 1971 Pontiac T37s were made?

My boyfriend is a big classic car enthusiast, and for his birthday I’m taking him to a classic car show. I wanted to brush up on some basic knowledge for his favorite models to impress him, but I’m having trouble tracking down much information on Pontiac T37s. How many of these cars were made in 1971?

In 1971,
Pontiac
produced nearly 45,000 T37 models in both two-door coupe and four-door sedan body styles. Most were equipped with a six-cylinder engine, but a number of models featured an upgraded V8 engine instead.
1971 was the first and last year in which this budget-friendly muscle car would see production—at least in its original form. The following year, Pontiac switched out the T37’s A-frame for a LeMans base, along with upgrading to an automatic transmission.
Pontiac would go on to focus on its GT-37 variants and GTO models, discontinuing the T37 and quickly leaving it in the dust. Although the model may be far gone in Pontiac history, it’s far from forgotten—many
classic car
enthusiasts appreciate the rarity of the model, lauding its performance and classic appeal. Today, you can find a second-hand Pontiac T37 for anywhere between $4,000 and $30,000, depending on the condition of the vehicle.
