Congrats on the purchase! While the chargers themselves and the charging process are quiet the car itself may make some noise to cool down the battery.
While you charge your phone or laptop there isn’t usually much of a sound. The same goes with your EV: charging your car is relatively quiet. When you plug the charger in there is a click similar to a traditional car at the gas station, but since there’s no liquid fuel pouring into an engine, the familiar chugging of petrol isn’t present.
Of course, depending on the type of charger you use, there is a different level of stress on the battery. Faster charging means your battery is being flooded with the charge at a higher rate and will heat up. The vehicle’s battery cooling system activates in order to make sure the battery doesn’t overheat.
