up to ten years, and will remain on your criminal record indefinitely. You will also be considered a high-risk driver
and need to file for an SR-22
. Here’s what will happen:
- Because this is your first offense, your license will be revoked for 185 days OR a breath interlock device will be installed on your car for one to three years
- If you have a misdemeanor DUI, you can request to have your criminal record sealed seven years after your case closes—this is the closest you can get to having it cleared from your record
You will need to pay a $121 fee to reinstate your license once it is permitted. Because your license is getting revoked, the revocation will remain on your driving record indefinitely.
