How long should you let concrete dry before driving on it?

I just laid some fresh concrete to make a driveway. It looks amazing! How long should I let the concrete dry before I can drive on it?

We’re so glad it turned out well! Your concrete driveway should last for decades to come. It’s generally recommended that you let fresh concrete dry for one week before driving on it.
Here are some tips for fresh concrete:
  • You can walk on your new concrete driveway after 24 hours, but avoid letting your pets walk on it right away, as their claws can scratch it.
  • You can drive and park your car on your new driveway after one week.
  • You may drive or park heavy machinery (think trailers, work trucks, etc.) after 30 days.
Enjoy that snazzy new driveway!
