How long is an international driving permit valid?

I got an IDP the last time I went to Europe (four months ago) and I’m going back in four weeks. Is my international license still valid or do I have to apply for a new one?

An international driving permit is valid for one year from the date of issue. That’s great to hear you got one last time you traveled—smart move! You should be all set for several more months.
For future reference, you can apply for an international driving permit up to six months before you travel. However, be sure your travel dates fall within the year if you’re applying ahead of time.
