How long is a car loan pre-approval good for?
I have been shopping around for a new car, but I haven’t found the one I want yet. My current car still runs, so I’m in no rush, but how long is car loan pre-approval good for?

Getting a new vehicle is exciting! It must be a relief that you don’t need to rush to find the car you want.
Typically, a car loan pre-approval is good for 30 to 60 days but can vary by lender. To confirm how long your pre-approval is good for, you should contact your lender or read through your pre-approval documents.
If you discover your pre-approval has expired, you will need to reapply. The lender will perform another credit check to confirm nothing has changed. Fortunately, being approved for a second time is usually not a hassle, but another credit check could lower your score temporarily.
Once you find the car you want, don’t forget you’ll also need to provide
proof of insurance
