How long is 30 miles driving?

I’m job hunting and I just aced an interview for a company. They said I could work remotely two days a week, but the other three days, I have to go into the office. How long would it take to drive 30 miles?

A hybrid work arrangement that’s half at home and half at the office is awesome! The downside is that 30 miles driving will take about 30 minutes on the highway and up to an hour if you’re on city streets.
However, many factors play into this, including:
  • Your speed
  • How many traffic signals are on the route
  • Congestion, construction zones, and accidents
  • Where you’re driving
To give you a better estimate of how long 30 miles is driving, here are some speeds and the time spent on your commute:
  • 30 miles at 30 mph: 1 hour
  • 30 miles at 35 mph: 51 minutes, 26 seconds
  • 30 miles at 40 mph: 45 minutes
  • 30 miles at 45 mph: 40 minutes
  • 30 miles at 50 mph: 36 minutes
  • 30 miles at 55 mph: 32 minutes, 44 seconds
  • 30 miles at 60 mph: 30 minutes
Since your commute is a tad on the long side, consider downloading a

to find the quickest route at any given time.
