How long does it take Turo to approve a new user profile?

I'm a new user and I want to rent a car for an upcoming trip. How long will it take to approve my profile?

“It takes Turo about 24 hours to approve new users.
You can get approved to drive before you book a car by going to your account page. You can check your approval status on your account page.
If you get denied, you may be asked for more information.
After you get approved, you’ll be able to browse for vehicles and can select book instantly options.
Depending on your age, you may have certain
car insurance
 requirements.
For example, anyone under 21 must choose either the Minimum protection plan or the Standard protection plan for your
car insurance
 option. Also keep in mind that anyone under 20 will have to pay a minimum young driver fee of $50/day.”
