How long does it take to transfer a car title?
I bought a new car, so I am selling my old Jeep to my sister. I’m working on completing the title transfer, but my sister is wondering how long it will take so she can start using the car—how long will it take to transfer a car title to someone else?

will vary by state. The processing time can range between two to six weeks.Transferring a title isn’t always a straightforward process, and several factors can affect how long it takes. These include:

- Transfer paperwork

However, in most cases, you can expect the new title to arrive in your mailbox within two weeks.
If you haven’t completed a title transfer yet, remember to check with your DMV to find out if they require any specific documents. Also, keep in mind that most states have a deadline to complete the transfer, and if you miss the deadline, you’ll be subject to a penalty fee.
