How long does it take to settle an insurance claim for a car accident?

I was in an accident about a week ago where I was at fault, but I have collision insurance. I want to get this settled as quickly as possible so I can start putting this behind me, but I'm not sure of what the timeline should be. About how long does it take to settle the claim I made?

“I’m so sorry you were in an accident—hopefully everyone is all right. The amount of time needed to settle a claim is highly dependent on the insurance company and the nature of the accident—but in most cases,
car insurance
will pay out your claim within 30 to 45 days, and sometimes you may get paid in as little as seven.
The
sooner you file the claim
, the sooner it will pay out.
It’s also important to keep in mind that your car insurance rates have the potential to rise after filing a claim, regardless of who was at fault in the accident.
If you find that your rates have risen to a level that you can’t pay, the

app might be a helpful tool to use. Jerry gathers quotes from multiple top-of-the-line providers so that you can simply choose the best deal for you on the coverage you need. Once you’ve chosen the right plan for you, we’ll help with the paperwork for the switch, too.
Best of luck with settling your claim—and remember, time heals all.”
