Okay, so I got my license but my dad says I can’t drive the car because he needs to put me on the insurance. So how long does this part take?

“It only takes a moment to add a new driver to an insurance policy. As long as your dad can provide your name, date of birth, and driver’s license number, he can relay that information to the car insurance company and you will be added right away!
It seems that he might be a little hesitant to add you to the policy. This usually happens because people believe that it will be very expensive.
Let him know that you will help keep the cost down by taking a driver training course and keeping your grades up. The good student discount will save him a lot!
You should also tell your dad about the Jerry app. He can get multiple quotes in seconds so that he has a better idea of what his new insurance rate is going to look like. “
